Confront my family members or no?

I recently lost my daughter at 30 weeks and some of my family members haven’t said sorry or anything sympathetic to me and are basically ignoring the fact that my baby died. It really hurts my feelings. Do I confront them or no?

I wouldn’t confront them. I think sometimes people just don’t know what to say or are scared of saying the wrong thing...maybe reach out to your parents so they can spread the word that you need some emotional support...losing a child is stressful and terrible enough, that you just don’t want to add fighting with family on top of it, if that makes sense...I’m so sorry this is happening to you 💔

It it bothers you tell them. Some people don't bring it up because they dont want to hurt you and want to make it as normal as possible for you. I'm sure they mean well.  I had the opposite everyone brought it up. I hated it.

I went to a family and friend gathering last week, and no one commented on my 20 weeks loss in March. I don’t think it was to be mean or that they didn’t care. I don’t think people know how to discuss the loss, so they avoid the conversation.
I hope you can find a few friends or close family that lets you just talk about it.

I've just recently had my 5th miscarriage and honestly, a lot of people don't know what to do or say about it when they've never experienced it. In my opinion, I feel better when they don't say much about it because saying the wrong thing is much worse than saying nothing at all.

Yep. I’d wait until after you do some healing though so you can rationally make your decision. Not saying anything to you is unacceptable from family. I confronted my MIL over the exact same thing.

Confront? No. Talk to? Yes. I’m sure they don’t know what to say and don’t want to add any note hurt to what you are already feeling, especially if all they’ve seen is you and your SO put on a strong face. I think it’s always good to talk about your feelings though, especially if it is something that will help you heal!
