PUPPP??

Question

Does anyone who has seen or had PUPPP think this is it? My doc did not mention it to me when she saw it today, just told me to treat with a hydrocortisone cream. But my co-worker who is studying to become a nurse practitioner and currently in her OB rotation said her preceptor said my symptoms sound like PUPPP (she didn't see a photo though). I'm just a little annoyed that my OB doesn't mention this, but then again she asks ME what my last cervix measurements were bc she doesn't read her previous notes before entering my room 🤔

My body Is covered! Arms, legs, chest, butt, back and belly. I constantly feel like I’m burning in a bond fire. Oatmeal baths are soothing but wears off, Benadryl helps me get a few zzzzs and calamine lotion does helps but eventually wears off. Keeping motorized is the key. I found this gem recently. It helps a lot.  I don’t wish this pain on anyone and some think it’s even a myth. I sure wish u and anyone else besides us that have this best wishes

I have PUPP around my belly button but my OB never mentioned it to me because there’s nothing you could do about it other than use itch-soothing creams. The only cure is giving birth. 
You could ask your OB for a better type of cream. That’s what I did but it still isn’t good enough. 
I’d always keep the area moisturized because otherwise i’ll find myself itching my belly like crazy. 
Some days its worse than others, and I find that using ice helps numb the area and give me a few hours of rest till the itchiness is back again. 
We got to be patient with it until baby arrives =(

I had PUPPS after giving birth 🙃🙃 it rarely happens I also had it on my arms/legs/boobs/sides& belly only about 1% of cases are like that.

My stomach looks like this now! I mentioned it to my OB and he pretty much said “it’s nothing to be concerned about” but now it’s spreading to my arms, butt, legs and it’s getting painful! 😩 I thought it was just me and honestly my stomach has made me feel so insecure. Thank you for sharing mama. Nice to know I’m not the only one allergic to my pregnancy

I got rid of my PUPPs and came back to share what have helped me. 
1. Grandpa’s Pine Tar Soap
(Helped by adding a waxy protecting layer on the skin) 
2. Mother Care Nappy Cream
(Helped by reducing inflammation dramatically)
3. Cetaphil Dry, Itchy Skin Moisturizer
(Washing my body quite often made it super dry, this helped my skin go back to being smooth)
4. Green juice on empty stomach
(Helped detoxify my body + my skin. I know it helped because it made me sweat a lot during the day)
The first 3 days I washed my body 2-3 times with the soap because cold water made it feel better. I left my skin dry during the day because I couldn’t handle anything on my skin but after the last shower of the day I’d apply the nappy rash cream and leave it till the next day. It tingled/burnt like crazy, you’d think its making it worse but it works! 3 days later the rash was noticeably better but the itching persisted because my skin became super dry. I started using Cetaphil moisturizer after every bath, it made my body tingle and I hated the feeling but I knew it was better than leaving my skin dry. I also started drinking green juice in the morning and I stopped eating oily food and junk food. I did that for another week till I felt like the rash is officially gone. I am left with scars because I was itching so much but the Dr said she’ll give me a cream that’ll get rid of scarring after I give birth.

Yep this is pupps. I ended up on oral steroids for mine by the end. Cold cold showers and ice packs helped me through the very long nights. It’s only about 1 in 309 pregnancies and itsmost common in new moms of boys and multiples (dunno why boys but it’s true)
