Husband and I only have my father as an active part of our lives. The other parents are alive but not fit to be around children or in our lives. My husband says we should just say they died but I think we should explain when their old enough what happend and when their still little just say things like not everyone has grandparents or more than 1 or 2. Husband had I only have 1 grandparent since the rest died while I was very young. I feel bad since the family and friends around us who are having kids have huge extended families with extra grandparents. How are you planning to handle this situation?
