How was your induction?

39+2 today! And getting induced on Monday... midwife is hoping to only need to use Cervidil since I’m already 2cm and 80%; but my anxiety is through the roof!!! Anyone has had a good experience with Cervidil? I need some input about other people’s experiences!!
 Also if you were induced starting with cervidil, how many rounds did you have? Did you have to go on pitocin? Did you end up with a vaginal or c-section?

3 rounds of cervadil and 5 doses of cytotec then pitocin. Labor was 3 days after pitocin started .

I had cytotek then cervadil. Start to finish was 18 hours and I delivered vaginally

here in nz if you’re dilated enough for them to see your bags they’ll break them and give you a short amount of time to naturally progress before starting you on pitocin! Would that not be an option for you since you’re already 2cm?? Sorry this didn’t help! Just find it interesting how different country’s do everything so different when it comes to including and things!

I was 3cm and 80% and we just used pitocin. It was seriously an amazing experience and my labor and delivery was quick. Like 8 hrs start to finish. Such a huge difference from my first born!

I had cervidil which did nothing for me. Then the foley balloon. Then pitocin... I don’t even know how many times they upped the dosage on that because it wasn’t working. Ended up with an emergency csection

I had two rounds of it and then had pitocin for 20 hours, the highest they could go. Lol It was a rough labor and 10x harder than going naturally would’ve been I’m sure but it was all worth it. I was very nervous going in but once me and my hubby got to the hospital and got it going, we were at a kind of peace I can’t explain. Labor and delivery was the most amazing part of it all for us. Just enjoy it and relax, you and baby will be in great hands. ❤️

I had one round of cervadil. My water broke exactly 12 hours after it was inserted. I was 3cm and progressed to 10cm within 6 hours. I still ended up getting a c-section only because my son was “sunny-side up,” which made it harder to push. I pushed for about 3 hours, but he was not moving.

I was induced after my water had broken (because I had high blood pressure) 
Was induced with only pitocen at 4:30pm and delivered vaginally at 1:30am. So that’s like 9hrs. It went really good!
