I was at the birthday party of the little boy I babysit. His new babysitter who babysits on the days I don’t was there. (She was just hired because the mom of the kids went away to an eating disorder rehab program.) She is 18 or 19 and was wearing a very skimpy dress.

She brought some bubbles for the kids. She looked at their dad and said, “Daddy, can we go out and blow these bubbles?”

That struck me as very inappropriate! I would NEVER call the father of the kids I babysit daddy! I may tell them, “Go ask daddy...” but I would not actually call him that when addressing him.

Is this weird to anyone else?

I also noticed that she didn’t talk to the children’s mom’s parents but became very friendly with the dad’s parents.
