Not allowed to walk after water breaks
So I learnt yesterday from my nurse friend, that am not allowed to walk after my water breaks. "Just laying down. even sitting ain't good." Like what!!
What have I been hearing all this while that when u go to hospital, they tell u to walk to get things moving and that laying down ain't good.
Ladies who have given birth, is this true?
UPDATE: thanks ladies for all your responses. sorry if I don't reply to everyone of them.
I was told by a nurse, that once waters break, I should not walk around because I risk getting a precipitate delivery or baby getting poo in their system. That unless I have been checked and given a go ahead to walk, I should not. if my water breaks at home.i should drive to hospital in a laying position. I was shocked to hear this because I thought walking helps things to advance.
