What is the worst thing you and your spouse where able to over come ?

Got pregnant at 16. His dad refused him to be able to see me and my parents kicked me out so we ended up not being able to see each other much. We broke up because of the distance but ended up getting back together shortly after. We just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and were expecting our 4th child now.

Going through 2 consecutive miscarriages. Always knew he was amazing but his level of caring, love and support while dealing with one naturally and one a D&C was a blessing. He could’ve retreated, we could’ve fought and blamed the other and grown distant. Instead it brought us closer and showed we are more than our fertility and our now 16 weeks pregnant with a healthy boy.

Uh, probably being banned from seeing each other and pretty much being like Romeo and Juliet. Our families hated each other and we weren't allowed to see each other. This went on for a couple of years before they realised that we weren't trying to take advantage of each other/ get each other into trouble.

My husband who was a new boyfriend of 8 months at the time has a dog who is an 80 lb pit bull who attacked and killed my parents cat. My parents more specially my dad was furious/hurt/sad. And my husband couldn’t get rid of the dog. We talked it through and we still have the dog (that was 4 years ago). It was very uncomfortable for awhile between my dad and husband but my dad has loosened up a bit

He lied by omission for the dumbest thing.  (Female co-worker adding him and messaging him.) It took a long bit to go back to fully trusting him or even speaking to him for anything besides our son.  It was literally the dumbest thing but the fact that he tried to hide it is what upset me and ultimately lost trust because of it. It's been about a year and half now, and we joke about it. 
We're also dealing with his toxic ass family. But that we're doing together so it's just teamwork with that one.

2 months into dating, his mom passed away unexpectedly. I had only met her once and I had never met any of his other family but I was asked by him and his family to attend the wake and funeral. It was both the most uncomfortable but sweetest thing I have ever been through, to be with his ginormous family/friends who were strangers to me. But they all came up to me, introduced themselves and hugged me and thanked me for being there for them. It was hard with him though because that was his best friend and I'm not much for affection so when he would be up sobbing in the middle of the night, I remember being insanely uncomfortable and unsure of what to do. Even to this day when it gets to him, I still don't know what to do besides hold him. 
A little over a year later, we hit a rough patch and I told him I didn't know if I was IN love with him anymore and we talked about me moving out and trying to make things work. Within those weeks of trying to make things work, I fell pregnant and then miscarried which made our relationship 100x more confusing because part of me still wanted to be on my own but the other part of me thought "we just lost a baby together and I want nothing more than to be with him", so it was super strange. But we continued to work on our relationship and we got stronger and fell more in love!
Now we are engaged and expecting again!! I love him dearly and I wanna smack myself for ever thinking otherwise.
