Does Letrozole cause early ovulation?

Question

Just got a blazing positive opk on CD8 (took 5 mg on CD2-6)!
Seems too early (I usually get a positive opk on CD10 or 11). Is it just elevated levels of LH from the estrogen block? Or can it shift ovulation to earlier?
DH and I did BD 2 nights ago (CD6), will plan to again tonight. Was not expecting this! 
Cycle is unmonitored, first cycle with letrozole. Also taking metformin 1000 mg twice daily for past 4 months. Suspected PCOS vs “LUFS” which is leutinized unruptured follicle syndrome.
Any advice or experiences please, ladies!

I took femara cd3-7 and on cd9 I got what was a almost positive but I felt like it was too early and I read that it can cause false positives if you take opks  too soon. I still did the deed and kept on testing cd 10 it got light and same for cd 11,12 and 13. Then I got my true positive on cd14 and bbt confirmed ovulation to. Go with your gut. We did the deed every other day just to cover our bases until I got the positive opk.

I took 5mg letrozole CD 3-7 and on CD 8 had negative barely there at all OPK and CD 9 had a blazing positive one! I’ve continued to take OPKs daily and check CM/CP (however I never get EWCM just watery at best) and cannot decide if I ovulated after that OPK or not. My CP was high soft and wet the two days after and now has lowered down and is closed again. However i also have heard some other ladies got an early positive OPK around then and then their real peak a week later. Trying to keep BDing as much as I can just to be safe. I’m not temping since it causes too much stress. Keep us posted!

I ovulated on CD 11 this month with Letrozole - definitely makes me ovulate way earlier than I’m used to!

Update: I’ve continued to take OPKs. My CP was high and open on CD 10-12 but now it’s lower and closed. Still feeling some sensation and crampiness in ovaries though. I’m actually starting to think that maybe I did O early!! So hard to know.

I took 7.5mg cd3-7 and had a false positive opk on cd9. Cd13 I had a true positive opk and ovulated on cd14

I ovulated cd14 compared to the normal cd20 on letrozole.
