Labor for FTMs
I’ve seen a lot of questions about wondering what labor feels like. It’s definitely different for everyone but basically the last whole month of pregnancy you’re in early labor with Braxton Hicks and cramping and back pain as your body gets ready. So exciting! Losing pieces of your mucus plug is very normal but when it’s a big brown chunk with blood on it that usually means you’ll be in active labor within 48 hours. I know some people say they couldn’t tell the difference between Hicks and real contractions but I think for the majority of us you’ll know. They’ll be so painful you’ll have to hold onto something and even whimper through them. For me, contractions at its worst is like a Charlie horse that wraps around your stomach and back. And as your cervix changes you usually leak mucus. Here’s a visual of a contraction vs hick! Good luck everyone!! 😍
