Contractions?

I’m a FTM so really don’t know what to expect when labour starts. Just had pain that nearly had me in tears, felt so tight all the way round my front, ribs and back and lasted about 30 seconds. Was it a contraction? And now my lower back is just aching 😩😭

Following bc I’m in the same boat! I have no idea what to expect and everyone that I’ve asked in my life say “you’ll just know” like?! OK BUT I have cramps in my lower stomach. Low back ache and tightening around my whole stomach?! Is that what it is?! Idk!

Sounds like it could be.  Contractions hurt like no other. It’s hard to explain that’s why people say you know when you’re having them. Could be some Braxton Hicks but what you described that’s how i remember feeing with my first :).
