Spotting Since January

So, back in December I foolishly went and got the birth control shot. I say foolishly because the last two forms of birth control I tried caused extensive spotting. The shot wore of in March and I do not plan to get it again. Has anyone else had issues with spotting? How long after stopping your bc dis the spotting stop? I am so miserable. I feel disgusting. I will hold my per to avoid having to look at tye disgusting brown discharge that has plagued me. I havent been fully intimate in months. I just want to get my confidence back.
