Hey ladies! I’ve had a rocky relationship with my MIL - and her best friend has always been so cold to me. However, she (the best friend) was of course invited to my bridal shower and our wedding. I recently saw her again (first time since being pregnant) and went to give her a hug and she literally continued to eat her food (people were just munching on apps) and didn’t get up to give me a hug or even turn her body when I went in for a hug. Nor did she even congratulate us or comment about the pregnancy. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I want to say she is this way towards me because my MIL likely vents to her about our relationship and I’m sure she doesn’t like me because of it.

So, my question: is it disrespectful of me not to invite her to my baby shower?
