Cuddling and having sleepovers with an ex

Me and my ex cuddle all the time and he stays over regularly, we don’t have sex or anything but he said he has no feelings and treats me poorly half of the time which is kinda misleading cause of the affection he shows me? He also always asks me if he can stay over and knows I still have feelings. He said he wanted to “try again” about a month or so ago but things didn’t work out.
