Sleep paralyzes and pregnant
Anyone else ever deal with sleep paralyzes?
I’ve experienced it ever since I could remember, I was on allergy medicine a while back and was also taking melatonin and for some reason it gave me really bad sleep paralyzes.
I stopped taking both and it stopped for some time and I would only experience it every once in a while.
Now that I’m pregnant it’s almost every night and I wake up with my heart racing, sweating, tired and it’s hard for me to fall back asleep after if it happens during the middle of the night because it scares the hell out of me. I also have been having really bad nightmares so usually I’m having a dream that someone’s restraining me and I just cannot move, I’ll hear my alarm going off or someone calling me and I still can’t move for a few minutes. Basically I wake up when I wake up. The other day I realized it lasted 15 minutes. My alarm was set for 10 and I finally woke up at 10:15.. drenched in sweat. What do I do to help this not happen :( I’m 19 weeks pregnant.
Also, I haven’t been tested for any other sleep disorder or anything but when I have sleep paralyzes I stop breathing, it’s extremely hard to catch my breath and I’m not sure if this is normal..
