Are ultrasounds done at every 4 week appt?

This is my first pregnancy so I don’t really know what to expect. I had my first appt @ 8 weeks and got a dating scan, got to see baby and hear heartbeat and was wondering if every 4 week appt is like that? Will they check for a heartbeat each appointment?

No you'll most likely get another at 20 weeks and that's possibly the last. When you go in for your check ups they'll measure you're uterus when you get further along and will always check the heart beat each time. When you get to your third trimester you'll have to take the glucose test which isn't all that bad. 
I'm only 29 weeks currently so that's all the information I can give but I'm sure there's another momma out there who can tell you more

No you won’t get ultrasounds every time. It depends on what your insurance covers. Probably won’t have another scan until 20 weeks

As long as there’s no need to monitor anything - 20 weeks is probably the last ultrasound you’ll need.   I would up with quite a few extra with my first but I was measuring small and went almost two weeks over due.   Doctors were a little on edge about that. (Everything was fine - I just have a long torso and baby was nice and tucked in for my first pregnancy). We needed a follow up on the 20 week scan with baby #2 because she wouldn’t turn enough for the tech to get enough pictures of her heart.   Again - she was just fine just a little uncooperative ;) More ultrasounds are always fun but it’s a good thing if you don’t need any more :)
