I’m 20 weeks along and last night was the 3rd time this pregnancy of waking up suddenly and feeling like I was freezing. Teeth chattering, shaking and every muscle in my body tensing up in pain! I could wrap myself in multiple blankets but it lasts 10-20 minutes and my husband has to warm me with his own body heat. Each time I have no fever and wake up the next day totally normal and have no other symptoms. (So not infection) I told my midwife the first time it happened with this pregnancy and she shrugged it off as “Just pregnancy”. But the very first time I experienced this was postpartum with my firstborn (also with my next 2 babies -postpartum). This is the first time having it while pregnant. I thought before it was from the strong pain meds I was on during postpartum. But, obviously that’s not the reason since I’m getting it now. Anyone else have this and get a better explanation from your doctor???? (Also, I don’t live in a cold area, in fact it was warm last night.)
