Baby doesn’t want anything other than formula...?

Anyone else have this issue? I’ve tried oatmeal, pears, bananas, sweet potato. He takes a bite and then refuses to eat. But will chug down his whole bottle. I’ve tried BLW just to see if letting him be more independent would change anything and it hasn’t. He’s 6 1/2 months.

Yep! My guy just turned 6 months and I've been trying to introduce solids since 4. It's gotten to the point where he clenches his mouth shut now!! He hates the spoon and when I do get anything in there he pushes it all out. He only gets a bottle so far... Haven't tried BWL yet bc he can not sit independently. Going to ask the doctor at his visit next week suggestions as to how to get him to eat real food !

Food before 1 is just for fun! I’d keep trying every couple werks but he probably just isn’t ready 
Mine gagged and threw up at her first bite of food 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

My son was the same but I started off with cereal. But wasn’t interested but I added his milk instead of water x

We started offering our baby girl bits of food early because she was so interested. Then all of a sudden she just stopped. Had zero interest and only wanted her bottles. 
We tried everyday for two weeks of her refusing then left it a week and tried again. 
She’s now back to eating two food meals; one vegetable and one fruit per day. 
If baby is getting obviously distressed I’d leave it a few days before starting to offer again, you don’t want to build too much of a negative association with food.

Mines doing weird where he used to eat heaps of whatever was offered, and drink 210ml bottles but now he will only have a few bites before wanting to get away and only have 90-120ml of him bottle before not being hungry any more and trying to escape my clutches 🤷🏼‍♀️

Be patient! And keep offering. It’s a whole new world for our babies, it would take some time to adjust. My baby refused to even take a spoon of anything (peas/banana/carrots/sweet potato) ... nothing... then slowly over couple weeks she got used to the idea of the spoon and purée. Now she seems to like bananas and sweet potatoes most (hates carrots so far).
