Coffee or eating before ultrasound?

I’m going in tomorrow morning for my 13 week ultrasound and I read not to eat before is that true? Then I read to drink coffee if you want to see your baby wiggle around? What do you think

Drink a ton of water before an ultrasound - the fuller your bladder is the clearer the picture they get. I personally wouldn’t do coffee but drinking something sweet like apple juice makes them active.

My son is naturally active but when I went in for an elective ultrasound I drank a coke and ate a kit kat and he was bouncing around so much more than usual.

In uk it’s recommended to drink 800ml of water before an ultrasound. Works for me!
