Should I start or wait ?

I haven’t had any doctor appointment until next week and I’m 6w4d . Do I need to go get folic acid and other vitamins myself or wait patiently for doctor appointment for prescription? 
I’m curious cos I hear people say take folic acid

Just go to the store and buy prenatals and  thing of folic acid vitamins, I’ve never really heard of someone getting a prescription for them but some drs may do it but mine doesn’t

Most insurances don’t pay for prenatal even if you get an rx. Just go ahead and buy them and take them. I started before I was pregnant.

All you need is to take prenatal vitamins. They have all the folic acid you need in them! Start taking them right away and be consistent to ensure you do not miss a day when taking them.
