Head engaged 2/5 is labour going to start soon?

Hi, had my 36 week check today and baby is engaged 2/5, has anyone else had this so early and if so is labour likely to start soon? How soon did it happen for you? Thanks!

No it just means baby is in the right position

Maybe? I was at a 2 for a few weeks.

Hard to say. It can’t be that far away but everyone has different speeds of engagement. Some will be weeks before birth and others it’ll be during labour and much quicker. The head being engaged is a good sign as it means birth should be within weeks and that it’s in one of the better positions for birth but that’s about all it tells you. You cant really predict labour :) x

Unfortunately no I was fully engaged for 2 weeks and when I was induced I was 0% effaced, 0cm dilated. Nothing was happening 😂
