Measuring ahead but same due date?

So we went for our 3rd ultrasound and were supposed to be 11 and 3 days but measured 12 days. They said they’re still sticking with our original due date but if my baby continues to measure ahead will they change it?

They won’t change it unless they are measuring a week or more ahead.

Most of the time they won’t change your due date unless you are like 2 or 2 and a half weeks ahead so I’ve heard. It’s because baby could be measuring big, but the baby’s insides still aren’t there yet. They wouldn’t want to change your due date because if they’d need to induce you for any reason the baby might look big enough, but still isn’t ready on the inside to be out yet. If that makes any sense. I’m horrible at explaining things lol.

I was measuring 4 days ahead at the 12 week ultrasound and am now 3 weeks ahead at 28 weeks. They still havent changed my due date. They are approximates anyway.

I always measured 1-2 weeks ahead w my first. They mentioned changing my due date, but never did. Little man came on the exact day.

No there really isn’t any reason to. Baby’s all grow at different rates. Just means your baby is a little bigger
