To induce or not?

Question

A little bit of background first. I am pregnant with baby number 3. First was 5 days overdue; labored for 32 hours. Second was 2 days overdue and I labored for 5 hours; at the hospital for 45 minutes before giving birth. My second baby's birth was traumatic. When he was crowning the nurse held my legs shut and wouldn't let me push till the doctor arrived. I tore and then felt every single stitch, for some reason the numbing didn't work. 
Some info on this pregnancy; I was in a car accident at 24 weeks (baby and I were cleared after a night in the hospital), I have measured behind but baby is still within healthy range. I am currently 34 weeks and baby has already dropped.
My doctor brought inducing me at 39 weeks today because of my traumatic experience with my second and the fact that labor went so fast. I have always been one to refuse induction unless medically necessary. I don't really want to be induce but this way I know I wont give birth on the way to the hospital and I know my doctor will be there to deliver.
Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on here. I'm looking for peoples pros and cons and any other advice.

I was induced and almost had to have a c section and ended up in labor for 35 hrs after my water broke, but since it’s your third I don’t see you having any of those issues. It’s usually not a good idea for your first. If your doc recommends it, I would go with their suggestion.

That nurse sucks and I still would file a complaint about her.
But being induced isn’t that bad, I was with my second and it wasn’t any worse then with my first. Maybe ask your doctor some more questions about it? Write down a list of questions/pros and cons about it? I was there from 11:30 to 4:22 and she was out. Easy peasy. We where both good.

I have been induced three times and actually being allowed to opt for it this time at 37 weeks. Everybody is different I took to really well each time very quick and no problems. I actually love it and defo will be doing it again

I wouldn’t do it. I have fast labour’s too. 7hrs, 4hrs and will have another in the fall. That nurse was out of line. I’m sos prey that happened. Your body was meant to do it the way it needs to and nobody should have stopped you from pushing your baby out. I felt over 60 stitches which I don’t like to talk about because I don’t like to glorify the pain. I am only sharing with you because I want you to know that I understand you. I didn’t realize I was traumatized by my stitches until my third needed 3 stitches and I started crying and getting really scared when my midwife told me she had to stitch me. I jumped away from her but her and my husband held me and loved me through it and it was over quickly. My suggestion is that you get to the hospital sooner or you plan a home birth. I have home births so I never have to leave. I realize it’s not always possible so I am not saying it’s the only option I’m just saying to consider it. Love and light momma. Induction is frought with complications that can less to undesired consequences and more trauma. Mine ended in emergency c-section. So those are things you age to consider when making your decision. And know that it is a CHOICE and only yours to make. Do not let them coerce you. ❤️

Wait till 41 weeks or so .avoid it ..mine end up in emergency c section
