Not decorating nursery until baby is born? 😞

Hi everyone! I’m loving seeing all the nurseries y’all August mamas and daddies are putting together! 💗
My husband and I are planning on moving when our lease is up in December, so he doesn’t see the point in decorating our son’s room at all, because we’re moving 6 weeks later. I understand, but it still makes me pretty sad.
Any ideas on how to compromise?

Could you paint/decorate furniture for the nursery? That way it comes with you. And maybe get picture and artwork for the walls? Xx

Is bub going to be in your room in a bassinet at first anyway? I'm afraid I agree with your hubby 😅 
My first was in our room for the first 4+months. I need to repaint the spare room for this ones nursery but there's been a lot of other work going on so I'll just do it before they're too big for the bassinet.
I like a previous posters idea though: you can do lots with just furniture, a few artworks and blankets/cushions  which will all come with you when you move

I feel the same. My lease is up August 21st, but I’m moving August 1st and my due date is August 11th and it bothers me so much that I can’t set up a nursery for my babygirl yet. I have been buying things for her nursery though

I'm in the same boat; possibly moving the month baby is due so I set up a little corner in our bedroom in the same style. I painted the dresser though, and repurposed items we already owned like a mirror and some boxes for storage.

Our nursery furniture is back ordered till mid September so the only thing we’ll be doing ahead of that is cleaning out the room. I haven’t bought anything yet so I’m pretty unprepared

We are moving the last weekend in May but that gives me 2 1/2 months to get everything ready. I still feel bad about it because I had my daughter’s room done by this point. Honestly though she didn’t use her room until she was about 3 months old- we kept her in a bassinet next to our bed.
