How did you come out?

I’m still in school and I’m nervous to tell my family but all my friends know I identify as bisexual and I’m proud but nervous.

Answer

Coming out to my parents was scary, but it was totally worth it! I started off by asking them questions about how they feel about lesbians, and if they supported the lgbtq+ community. After asking and hearing that they had no problem with people loving the same gender and all that I just went ahead and said it. For me, my parents asked a lot of questions afterwards about my sexuality so just prepare for that just in case they do the same! 
As for my friends and the people I see on a daily basis, whenever a conversation that gave me a good opportunity to come out, I would, and they all accepted me. Also, coming out can inspire others too as well. After telling my best friend of four years she came out to me as bisexual because she felt comfortable enough to open up to me about it! Good luck, and stay true to yourself!
