Do you think a lot of people don't actually realize they are being sexually assaulted/harassed?

Bo

I'm currently pretty deep into the show "One Mississippi" starring, Tig Notaro.. which the show is about her life, so there's really no better option than Tig, herself. Anyways, Tig is a radio show host doing her show on air, in Mississippi. She came home to deal with her mother's death after Tig went through a battle with cancer. she's from Mississippi and also a lesbian. A major part of the show is about her grandfather molesting her, in her own home, as a child. while her mom was out having an affair, and piecing together the life she left behind. Her co-host on the show talks about how she was "kind of" sexually assaulted.. and goes on to talk about how she thought the numerous times it had happened that she just thought those people we're gross, not that she had actually been sexually assaulted.. for example:

- her teacher made the females line up and told the class women give off a scent when on their periods... And proceeded to smell all the girls crotches.

- a gym teacher grabbing the girls breast while playing basketball acting like it was an "accident" but the accidents only happened with girls.

- a camp counselor rough housing in the water with the girls and pulling their bathing suits off.

so I was just wondering (as there's more situations that arise about women unknowingly being sexually assaulted in the show) do some people not actually realize they've been sexually assaulted/harassed? Or is this like not actually that common for people to realize?
