Baby shower 🤔?

So i will be 37 week when we have a baby shower😓sadly due to husband being gone for work but my question is how would you ask on a invitations that you really want like baby diapers,soaps,blanket really just stuff like that an not really clothes because a family member gave us alot of clothes from new born to 12 months an they are all like new! But i dont want to sound rude either telling people what to buy. Thanks

We didn’t register for clothes and only got a couple outfits.  I don’t think it’s rude to put on the invite that the couple has plenty of clothes and is in need of diapers or gift cards. I think when it comes to new babies people would rather you get what you need.  Or you could just host a diaper party instead of a shower.

You could do a themed baby shower like a diaper party theme, and just encourage people to bring diapers. Or you could find a cute saying to put on the invitation that says baby’s closet is busting at the seams and just make that known.

My mother in law did a gift card baby shower for me, said that people can send gift cards or buy off our registry and ship to our house (we’re in Texas and them Michigan)

My friend hosted mine and she put on the invitation that if you brought a pack of diapers you would be entered into a raffle. We got plenty of diapers when that. She gave the winner a $15 gift card to star bucks.
