Period and positive pregnancy test?!

Okay ladies so I was getting faint positives before my period and the lines were progressing but one I got my period I stopped testing thinking it was a chemical. Well my husband told me I shouldn’t test again after 3 days of having my period and I thought it was silly because I KNEW for a fact I couldn’t be pregnant due to my period. So I decided to take one late at night yesterday and to my surprise 😯 I got such a dark positive that it was darker than the test line! What the heck!!!!im freaking out! Has anyone had a similar situation? What was your outcome?
