Anyone from Fl state?

I am looking to relocate to FL but wanted some input from people who currently live there. Like good or bad areas. Anything helps!!!

I lived in Zephyrhills for 1yr and then Tampa for 1yr. Zephyrhills was quiet,  it's mainly a retirement town.  Has typical stuff like Walmart, dollar tree,  staples,  etc. They also have a lovely Park that I took my daughter to do she could feed the ducks and play. Only thing about there was that I had to travel to another town to do anything like get my daughter's Medicaid at up which btw took 6 months because Florida is so incredibly crowded. And everything is "drop it in the box and we will get to it eventually". This was horrible because my daughter has a rare generic disorder and wasn't allowed to see her Dr's during that time without thousands of dollars out of pocket. I paid $400 for a 2 bedroom duplex apt and my landlord eventually became my daughter's godmother lol we because great friends. And my apartment was just across the street from this amazing Mexican restaurant that we visited often lol Tampa on the other had was very busy,  and 10x more crowded then Z-hills which only bothered me if I like walked into Walmart because I have panic attacks in large crowds and enclosed spaces.  Other then that it was great. I liked going to the large flea markets and the nearest beach,  a pull off spot,  was only 10 minutes up the road or 30min to Clearwater and my apt complex had a pool. My daughter's specialist was just a few blocks away from home as well which was nice. I paid $500 for a 2bd. There was always assisting to do in both of these towns and for the most part I really liked the people I met there.  Depending on where you move to,  I think you'd enjoy it.  I hope one day to move back and my bf (whom lived there a long time ago too) says he wouldn't mind returning as well. The only downside to Florida is the weather. It's either sunny and beautiful or flooding.  There's no in between lol come 3pm daily during hurricane season you will get soaked if you are outside.

Nassau County is wonderful! Yulee and Fernandina Beach are affordable beautifully quaint areas with great schools. Message me for more info.

I live in central fl. Like an hour outside of orlando. Jobs are easy enough to find. But they aren't great jobs. And most likely you'll need either a roomate or 2nd job to afford a decent place to live.

FL is easy to love but easy to hate. I love the small town I live in. There's great music, all kinds of events, and it's a great community.

But it rains everyday, traffic into the next town where I work is crappy. Humidity is enough to make your skin melt off you. The mosquitos are torture and the love bugs are annoying. We also have palmetto bugs which are tree dwelling cockroaches big enough to fly off with small dogs (yes they fly) and the lizards are something to get used to.

But I'm 20 minutes from the ocean, an hour from the vacation destination of the country, a day trip away from the keys, and surrounded by beautiful natural springs which we take our boat on all the time.

I'm from Pensacola, and moving back in a few months since hubby is deploying. If you're moving there, I would stay away from Brownsville, Warrington, and some parts of Myrtle Grove.

I lived in Jacksonville for a couple years and hated it. There isnt anything to do there.

I liked Pensacola. It was amazing but certain areas you just had to avoid. Basically all trailer Parks. I lived in one and I couldn't believe all the drugs and violence there. And the racism from business managers in the surrounding area. But I have family who live in St. Petersburg and Tampa.  All pretty nice places too.
