I’d try this stuff it’s a cleaning solution and is really help full. Definitely do not put any location on it and when you bath him only use a wet washcloth. No soaps, lotion, oil, etc

It looks like an allergic reaction to something to me. Is the only on his face or all over? Have you recently changed your makeup or moisturizer? Since your face touches his often (kissing, cuddling, etc) could be that.

I’d make him an appt for that. It looks like newborn rash but also looks like it’s oozing around his ears. And it could just be the picture but his eye looks swollen? If it were my child it would get it checked.
