Twins?

Question

So I took Clomid 150 mg and had three follicles growing. The doctor believed I would ovulate two. I got a bfp 9dpo, and my hcg levels between 72 hours went up 390% and said they were doubling every 30 hours. I’m about 5 weeks, and I don’t really feel sick or anything just tired and cramping on and off. What do you think the odds are for twins? Any similar stories?

I was on Femara (similar to Clomid) had 3 eggs as well and am only pregnant with 1! 
It’s possible though!

Hard to say - releasing 2 eggs doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get pregnant with twins, and clomid only increases your chances slightly. I got pregnant with twins on femara though, so it can happen. Either way, good luck with your pregnancy!

I took Clomid 50mg days 5-9 as prescribed. Both husband and I were checked out. We were diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. I had normal cycles, ovulated as expected, and we conceived our 5yr old on the first try- didn’t make sense. We conceived twins on that first medicated cycle. I wasn’t monitored but I was given an ultrasound at 5wk 6days; that’s when we found out about our double blessing! We are 14wks and (knock on wood) going strong! Sorry I don’t have in sight into hcg numbers but it’s definitely possible to conceive twins on Clomid! We were told the odds were low- 8% or less!!
