Due date confusion

Our baby boy is due June 7th, but because I’m having a repeat c-section I was originally supposed to be scheduled for Friday May 31st. Well turns out with my luck my Dr will be out of town May 31st-June 10th so they called me to cancel my set c-section and told me they will discuss it at my next appointment BUT the thing is they will not do elective c-sections or inductions not even a day before you turn 39 weeks.. I know this because I asked if I could just be scheduled when I’m 38+6 that Thursday and was told no because it’s not allowed even though I turn 39 THE NEXT DAY. So I’m very frustrated as I only trust my Dr for my surgery & I don’t want to have to wait until AFTER my due date seeing as he’s going to be a big baby as it is. Now if baby just so happens to come on his own any time before then it would be okay and the hospital would allow it so I need recommendations on things to do so I could have him at 38 weeks and avoid the long wait or risk going into labor while my Dr is out. I’ve already started taking Evening Primerose pills at 32 weeks. I’m now 35 weeks!
