Aspirin?

10 wks Prego.. OB doc said I should take aspirin daily due to being overweight and my age of 34.. according to an article it states I should avoid aspirin during pregnancy.. anybody else’s docs tell them this??

Low dose aspirin regimens are different than the dosage that’s used for pain relief. Everyone should avoid aspirin unless instructed by a doctor, but under some circumstances the benefits of a daily low dose aspirin regimen outweigh the risks. I take 2 baby aspirin daily to prevent preeclampsia because I have high blood pressure.

I take a low dose (baby) aspirin daily due to a blood clot.  My OB said it was fine to continue taking it while pregnant and I don’t think yours would recommend something that isn’t safe for the baby.  The “conventional wisdom” around a lot of food and drug restrictions while pregnant don’t actually have much medical support.

Mine hasn’t, but prescribing baby aspirin during pregnancy is pretty common, maybe your dr thinks you need a higher dose because of your weight?

Same here. I was just prescribed baby Aspirin but I was very apprehensive. It’s good to know I’m not the only one.

I've been on baby aspirin since my FET cycle started. First appointment with ob was 10 weeks and he is keeping me on it because I had preeclampsia with my first 10 years ago. I stop at 37 weeks or he said they wouldn't give me an epidural.

Me and my SIL are on baby Aspirin from the 12th week of pregnancy, mine is to do with high blood pressure and my SIL is cause she’s prone to pre eclampsia

I’ve been taking low dose aspirin if 150mg once a day. My bloods came back with the blood clotting disorder. My dad has had blood clots and my mum had pre-clampsia so they just want to be cautious. I started it at week 7 xx
