Are you getting a 3D/4D Ultrasound?

My Partner doesn’t want to get any 3D/4D ultrasounds done. I think they’re super cute and to see your baby develop and be able to see facial features before the baby is even here is amazing. My Partner feels like it ruins the surprise of having a baby by being so realistic - he wants to see him when he gets here lol. I told him it’ll still feel just as good to see him once he’s here but I wonder how other people feel 🤔

I got it for my first born and never looked at the photos again. Save your money for newborn photoshoot instead.

I don’t plan to with this one as we didn’t with our son. I feel like it ruins the element of surprise on what they’ll look like.

I go to an elective place near me for peace of mind checks and have already had 2 3d scans. She only charges me $40. The first one was 9 weeks 4 days and baby looks like a manatee, not a baby yet lol. Today's was 12 weeks 4 days

It will still feel just as good! Plus although it’s a much more detailed up close picture it still doesn’t do justice to when the baby is born. We did it with our daughter and she was sleeping the entire time, folded in half with her legs over her head 😂 so the pictures weren’t GREAT but we still saw her little face.
We plan to do it again with this baby and actually take her with us so she can see (she is obsessed with babies) and get a real sense of what’s happening. We have told her that she is going to be a big sister but with her being only just 2 in February she doesn’t REALLY get it yet. I would hope that the 3D/4D would make it super clear for her lol
One suggestion I have is to wait until at least 30wks along, thats what our doc told us-said the baby looks pretty skeletal any earlier than that and can actually look kind of scary😬

I got one to do the gender... And my husband saw other pics on how it looks around 20+ weeks and all the facial structure u can see and he's excited he told me book that appointment when I'm in the time frame 😍 I did it with my oldest daughter to and it didn't ruin not one bit of the surprise when she was born
