Anyone else taking Iron capsules?

My doctor recently recommended Feosol 325 mg iron capsules to me. 3 times a day. Anyone else taking any similar supplements? If yes then do you have any side effects like increased nausea or constipation etc.?

I take iron, but I used Vitamin Code Raw Iron - it's 100% food based made from brocolli, beets etc. So no constipation or harsh stomach issues!

Yes, during my 1st pregnancy they told me to start taking iron. I take Solgar Gentle Iron. No side effects here.

I will be taking Floradix once this everyday sickness goes away! It doesn’t cause constipation.

I’ve also taken iron tablets (325mg, but not those) for years due to a history of iron deficiency anemia.  They can cause constipation, but I’ve never had a problem by making sure to eat lots of fiber.  Taking them with a form of vitamin C can improve absorption.

I’ve taken them for years and yes, they can cause really bad constipation. However, getting severe anemia is a road you do not want to go down. When I was pregnant with my 1st, back in 2015, I didn’t take them like I should’ve been. I’ve had severe anemia for years. I ended up having to have iron infusions to help me and my child. I’m being pretty anal about it this time around. Try to eat green leafy veggies like Kale, or Greens and it’ll help not to be constipated. Hope this helps.

I’m taking iron, but it’s called Slow FE. I haven’t had any symptoms with these, but I have had some on the ones you’re taking. It’s was my OB recommended.
