Who else here can not stand when mothers use the term “months” for a child over the age of 1 years old?

I feel like it’s acceptable up to two years old because up until then babies go through a lot of development that does base on age like a year and half is different than a year

There is a huge difference developmentally between 13 months and 23 months, so up until age 2, it makes sense. After that, it is more logical to go by years.

Everyone keeps mentioning development differences but I’m sure most people don’t ask their age for that reason besides doctors 😅 but whatever floats your boat

Up until about 2 it’s totally acceptable. Agree with commenters about developmental differences. for my son I did it until 18 months, then I would say he is 1-1/2 for awhile and then switched to almost 2 (countdown to the end of the month!)

I think the cut off is 2 years old. If I hear someone say 28 months or something I’d be trying to work that out in my head lol.

This was something that really annoyed me before I had kids, same with women telling me how pregnant they are in weeks. But now that I’ve been pregnant and have kids it’s hard not to! Everything around you is in weeks or months, clothes, shoes, all the articles you read about development etc. You’re just in a different world then everyone else for the first two years
