How do you know?!

My husband and I have 2 boys and for the longest time I wanted to try for a girl but as my youngest has gotten older I feel so content with my 2 boys and my little family! Recently we’ve talked about my husband getting a vasectomy. My husband doesn’t want anymore and I really don’t think I do. But how did you know you were done having kids?

This was my husband and I 8 months ago. We have two girls one 9 and one 4. We were both content they were at the age with no diapers no nursing we had a little but more freedom. Just bought our first house we were set l but Deep down I knew he wanted a son but we always said knowing our luck we would have another girl. We scheduled his vasectomy and watched all the videos and filled out all the paper work. Then the day before his procedure he took me out on a date without kids and said he wanted to try one last time. We talked for hours about it. 7 days later I took out my iud and a month later we were pregnant. 16 weeks later we found out we were having our baby boy. 33 weeks pregnant and we are the happiest we have ever been. 
There are always waves to decisions like these. Whether do jump or not to jump. Either way you live with whatever choices you make and everything happens for a reason. Communicate with your husband and don’t feel pressured into doing anything until it feels right and most importantly, pray about it.

I've had 4 c-sections and my doctors told me not to risk another pregnancy. I was absolutely heartbroken as I'd wanted more, but my husband did the sensible thing and had a vasectomy so we couldn't have any accidents.

There are a lot of things to consider in this scenario, like how old you both are? how sure are you that you’re done? Is birth control not an option for any reason? My husband was dead set on a vasectomy and I really wanted one more. Birth control didn’t work well for us because i always turned into a monster while i was on it, no matter what i tried. We discussed in length about it and we eventually decided to have another. Now we’re pregnant with our first baby girl after 3 boys! Him and I both are completely in sync that were done now and he’s scheduled for a vasectomy on the 17th. This is our 4th baby at 25 years old and there isn’t a doubt in either of our minds that were done.

We both agreed 2 was enough for us. We have a 4 year old boy and 9 month old girl. We agreed we cant mentally and financially handle more 😂. Theres no baby fever left in our bodies. Our desire for more kids as dry as the desert. Thats when we knew the baby factory was closed FOREVER.
