Bump drop?

How long after you drop do you generally go into labor? I’m a ftm

39+5 and my bump never dropped but baby’s head is low and engaged 🤷🏼‍♀️ not everyone drops

I never really dropped. I carried pretty low my whole pregnancy though. Not really the best indicator of when labor might be. Honestly there really isn’t any good indicators of when labor might be. For the most part it’s very spontaneous. You could be 4 cm for weeks, you could be 1 cm for a day and be in labor not much later, you could drop, you could have contractions and labor could still be a few days or so away. You could feel completely fine any next thing you know you’re in labor. I was 1 cm at 37 weeks delivered at 39w5d. My SIL, who was pregnant at the same time as me, was 4 cm since 37 weeks but also didn’t deliver until 39w5d. I literally had no indications leading up to labor. The previous night I was at my in laws having dinner. They asked how I was doing and I literally said good, great actually, ill probably go past my due date. We went to bed that night and I woke up the next morning at 4 am with contractions.
