Is it safe to take unisom sleep aid gels during pregnancy?

I am so worried I never thought to ask my ob about this and have been taking one a night my whole pregnancy is it ok to take just one of the unisom sleep aid gels a night during pregnancy? I have terrrrible insomnia issues already and pregnancy always makes it so much worse

The gel ones are actually not okay. You should be taking the regular pill form. It is 25mg doxylamine succinate. The gel ones are different and the two obs I saw during this and my last pregnancy said they were not safe. I’d mention it to them.

They recommend B6 and unisom for nausea. I’ve taken it throughout two pregnancies. They do recommend the regular, not the gel. But I believe that’s because it’s given as a half dose for nausea. 
I’d call just to be sure. They may want you to switch from the gels.
