C-section stories?

Question

Anyone have any good C-section stories their willing to share? ***NO HORROR STORIES PLEASE***Only have a month left until mine and hearing about others make me more relaxed and less nervous about mine☺️

I had 2 scheduled c sections (will have a 3rd in a few months)
I have a bicornuate uterus and my first had low amniotic fluid and wasn't in the birth position to be born safely in time. I wasn't eligible for a Vbac with my particular situation but that was fine because I enjoyed my c section experience. 
That being said... I would have 10 c sections over a root canal any day! 
Ive never experienced any labor symptoms so I have nothing to compare to. 
1- it was scheduled. No waiting, family can be there when they need to be, you can plan for arrangements etc.
2- anesthesia- don't feel a thing!
3- babies arrives safe and without any stress or trauma. This eased us in with nursing and smooth bonding
4- my husband played a big part with giving me play by plays of what was going on behind the sheet. He had a big role, still got to cut cords, participate etc.
5- recovery: was not bad. Even better for my second. Pain management was on track. Walking that night got me out of hospital quicker. Out of hospital in 3 days with my second and hosted Easter brunch the next day home. Major pain meds not necessary second time around once home... just extra strength Tylenol.
6- biggest inconvenience was not being able to drive for 2 Weeks. Was pretty much back to normal at 3 weeks. I had to be careful lifting and cautious with picking up my 2yo with my second. But no big deal! 
7- and... with subsequent children you don't have to wait the full 40 weeks! Usually scheduled at 39 weeks to avoid labor.

Mine was semi emergency bc my sons heart rate was dropping and i was failing to progress past 7cm.    It wasnt terrible or fantastic either lol.  I mean it wasnt traumatizing at all.    I went in alone and they got started then brought in my husband  (they shove on your upper stomach VERY hard and that was the worst part of the whole thing it wasnt fun but conpletely managable) and then my son was born they showed him to me cleaned him up and brought him over and laid him on my chest (not all hospitals allow that) then my husband took the baby to the recovery room.   The rest of the time was fine but i just wanted my husband and baby.   And my mouth was insanely dry.     Lol the anasthisiologist kept my company after my husband left while keeping a tab on my vitals.  They finished up and took me to recovery and i got to be with my son and husband and it was great.   I had a fine time healing.  It wasnt bad at all.

I had an emergency c-section because my son was breech. I thought there might be a chance to get him to turn but he came before my appointment. Anyway, it was ok except for being scared and shaking really bad from that and the hormone changes. I had to be put to sleep after I had him because of the shaking so I wasn’t the first to hold him. If that happens to you, make sure you let them know your wants. My epidural didn’t go quite right possibly because I have scoliosis so I got a spinal headache from it and they had to do a blood patch. That was a little scary but it was a relief for the headache to go away. Recovery was a bit hard for me. I got up on the side that they must have pulled my son out of and I screamed in pain. I remember that so vividly. I just would suggest taking it slow but trying your best to move around. I hope my story wasn’t too scary. No, I would never want another c-section again but I got through it because moms are amazing and my son is so worth it!

Mine was an emergency c-section because her heart rate kept dropping but it honestly wasn’t bad at all I didn’t mind it and am looking forward to this next one in a couple of weeks

I had a c section with my first almost ten years ago (now expecting #2). I was 41 weeks and was supposed to get induced when my water broke. I went to the hospital and was only 1 cm dilated and barely felt the few contractions I was happen. They tried to move things along but 18 hours later I was only 3cm (barely). So they said i would get a c section when the doctor was done with his office hours. So I had three hours to kill and was given IV meds to help with the pain of the pitocin induced contractions, since a spinal block is better than an epidural for the actual surgery. The c-section went smoothly, she was born big and healthy, and I can barely see my scar. It's like a very thin pencil line drawn on my lower belly. I only took one dose of narcotics at the hospital and the rest of the time the pain was manageable with ibuprofen. I was in my last semester of school and had her on the first day of classes so I was up and going to school just two weeks later. Other than being sore the first 3-4 days, the only pain I felt was when I coughed, sneezed, or laughed. Hope all goes smoothly for you!

Mine was emergency due to my daughter being breech and her heart rate dropping but it was a very easy process for me. The doctors and nurses were very calming and my recovery was easy. My advice is to walk as much as you’re comfortable with in the days afterward. Don’t feel like you have to do everything all at once though.

My csections were fine 1st was an emergency so ill skip the reason why but recovery was not bad the 1st week or so getting out of bed hurts you may need help but i personally never had any issues with going poop after or anything and the pain was maybe a 5 at worse but keep up with your pain meds when you need them and you will be fine. My 2nd csection was scheduled and it was better then the 1st the worst part was waiting to go back getting the spinal doesnt hurt its just a little uncomfortable and you may get nauseous after but if you tell the anesthesiologist he can give you medicine for that and it helps right away other then that you can feel pressure and some tugging and stuff but no pain and it goes by fast you will be in the recovery room before you know it

Mine was considered emergency because my sons heart rate dropped but everything went perfectly 😊 Recovery was easy for me for being my first ever surgery lol... next baby is due November, ready for it 💙
