How much to drink & how long to hold for 20w scan?

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow.
My doctors just told me to come with a ‘full bladder’. 
I didn’t even think to ask exactly how much or how long to hold for? 
What did you ladies do for your scan?

I was told 32 oz an hour before my appointment!

I was told my bladder did NOT have to be full. Ended up having to empty my bladder twice for that appointment 😂 my bladder was causing small contractions which made viewing baby difficult

My dr didn’t tell me to have it full or empty but I can fill cause he does a urine sample each visit, I did that first so it could be empty and more comfortable for my ultrasound

I only had to drink water and hold for my 8 week confirmation scan so I'm not sure

I was advised to drink 32oz of water an hour before. As I was waiting for My first ultrasound I was in so much pain from having to pee that the doctor took me in on her lunch break (I showed up 20 min early). Took 1 picture and let me relieve myself after that. For my anatomy scan I was told to repeat the same... I instead just drank my 32 oz on the way to the doctors and by the time I was seen my bladder was definitely full!

Uhhhhhh I drank maybe three sips of water then drank a frappe on the way there. My scans were fine 😂😂 this is my second pregnancy, fifth US (three different places) and never been told to come with a full bladder. That’s weird lol

My OB gave me a piece of paper that said I had to have a full bladder but DO NOT go with a full bladder, the technician will make you empty your bladder because she won’t be able to get the pictures she needs

I drunk a bottle of water and a glass of apple juice. Half way through the scan they let me empty my bladder & worked perfectly because that made the baby switch positions. Good luck❤️❤️
