Anyone else trying primrose to help soften the cervix?

I’ve heard that it can cause your water to break (if inserted rather than taken orally) which can lead to stalled labor and needing to be induced, so I’m too scared to try it.

Tried it. Still not dilated or effaced at 39 weeks.

I did it with my last pregnancy & it didnt work at all so didnt try it this time
