Finding out gender

So me and my s/o agreed at the beginning when we found out we were pregnant that we didn't want to know the gender but since things have progressed and we are now over 23 weeks I really want to know. He doesnt. People all the time ask me what it is and I get upset everytime now because I want to know. I might add I'm a control freak and have to plan everything ahead of time and this is really stopping that. We are going to be young parents and I'd rather be somewhat prepared then not at all.

Just wondering if any other women have gone through this what was the resolution ?
