I’ve had the nexplanon implant since 2012. Replaced it in 2015 and again in 2018.

Without realising, my sex drive has decreased massively. I thought I was just stuck in a rut but in the back of my mind I though what if it’s my Birth control? My mind always switched back to “nah it couldn’t be, it’s not a listed side effect.”

My mind always wonders during sex, I don’t quite get there and I find that I dry up down there very easily. It’s frustrating because I used to love having sex.. who doesn’t! And now I’m there lying on the bed like “meh” and don’t get me wrong, my bf is very attentive and loving but it’s like my vagina has a mind of its own.

That doesn’t mean it’s not the birth control. I have recently discovered a thread showing countless experiences where women have been on nexplanon and their sex drive has also tanked.
