Failed inducing advice?

I took the oral tablets (only two doses worth) and was in the hospital total of 15hours. I didn’t dilate past 1cm but I became 60% effaced and started getting the bloody show. I’m 39 weeks and 3 days now and my OB wanted me to get induced due to him being so big!

But because I was having too many contractions too fast, my sons heart rate would drop during the contractions so they had me not take the 3rd dose after being there 9 hours already and did an ultrasound after a few more hours to make sure my baby was ok after the tablets were out of my system. I was still having contractions just not as many in a short period of time and they decided to send me home and have me come back when I’m 40+2 on Tuesday to try a different way to induce if I didn’t go into labor naturally before then :(

So I was wondering if any other ladies have had a similar experience and have went into labor after a failed induction?? Most people have said it is weird that they sent me home in the first place. I’m still having thick mucus discharge since my bloody show yesterday and I have contractions just not as consistently! Is there any advice anyone can give me?? Anything would help!
