Question:
Do you believe that the differences in struggles for males and females are skewed? Read description.
Have you ever noticed how, and I’m not saying it’s wrong, we always focus on women’s struggles? Why do women get periods, why do we go through painful pregnancies/labors, the wage gap, unequal rights, stuff like that. What about the men. Guys are constantly having a ton of pressure put on them and are having higher expectations placed on them. Prime Example: in middle school, the guys PE class were pushed extremely hard and forced to do extrenuous activity while the girls PE class barely did anything, were extremely lazy, and didn’t get pushed most of the time. Another example: women can usually get decent maternity leave, but paternity leave is usually a week or two at most and father’s get looked down upon if they want to take longer? Finally: 9 times out of 10, we find that men are reportedly the ones to blame for rape, even if it really is t their fault.
Yes, women have faced many struggles and I’m acknowledging that, but currently today, I feel like it is being said that women have more adversity shoved in their face from various things. Sorry, this is hard to describe.
