According to the Obgyn I used to work for it didn’t matter... morning, noon, or night. With my first I was approx 8 dpo when I tested and got positive in mid afternoon at work.

If you’re testing early I guess it matters more. Hcg is highest in the morning. I always tested in the afternoon/almost night and got positives
