No it's not your trauma. If it really happened than they should not be forced to answer questions about it. If you think it's a lie still don't. If your wrong it would be very messed up to have questioned as if it didn't happen.

Most people are sexually assaulted by so called “friends”. I have been sexually assaulted multiple times in my life and none of those times was it by a stranger. But people didn’t question what had happened to me just because they were friends with them because I wasn’t lying. You’d have to be a pretty shitty friend to not believe your friend just because you’re friends with the person who allegedly assaulted them. Obviously get the facts, but trust me, sane people don’t even want to talk about or be open about being assaulted unless they feel they need to. Just imagine how your “friend” would feel to know you’re questioning this. This is why people don’t come forward and report assaults.

Hey girls. I wrote the poll and the reason why is because five years ago i was assaulted and it wasn’t until last year that i finally opened up about it to one of my closest friends. Yesterday, she invited me to dinner and advised she was meeting give me “the opportunity to retell” my story. I was shocked. I spent years recovering and she was one of two people I opened up to about it. She said she spoke with who had done it to me and decided I was lying. 
I have nothing to gain from lying about it. I talked because I needed SOMEONE there for me. I left feeling isolated and told the one other person who knows.....she told me that they’re entitled to both sides because they know both parties. And I just feel betrayed and wanted to see if I was in the wrong.

"The opportunity to retell" your story. I would have walked out & cut my losses.   I'm truly sorry. You don't owe her anything. Even if she didn't know how to initially process the info bc it involves two good friends, she still should've listened & supported you. Not interrogate & then decide that you're lying. You deserve so much better!
