I prefer up until a year. I've just heard it lessons the chance of sids. 🤷‍♀️ and honestly that's what I feel comfortable with.

Starting at 3 months habits form, so unless you want a baby in bed with you each night....around 3 months move ‘em out!

Mine slept in my room while I was breastfeeding, so it was 12 months for us. If they breastfeed longer, I would have then stay in there longer. When they're around 6 months, I do move them into my closet though so we don't wake each other up & for extra mommy daddy privacy lol

I kept my son in our room for the first year. He was in his own crib and transitioned to his room very easily. I’ll keep next baby in our room for 6-9 months and if he’s sleeping through the night around then he’s moving into big brother’s room.

From what I read it is recommended that baby sleeps in a crib in your room for the first year. That is what we are doing.

At least a year.  Studies have shown a reduction in SIDS in babies under a year that room share (not bed share) with parents.  And sharing your room with them doesn’t mean they’ll never get out.  Both of my kids easily moved to their own room at a year old.
