You and your newborn are kidnapped.. you get a chance to escape but you can't escape with your newborn..would you escape anyways?

Yesterday a woman and her 7 week old child had been abducted by a male and female with ski mask on at the Biltmore park in, NC. The mother had a chance to escape and did just that but escaped without her baby. He was able to identify the peoples vehicle and their license plate number but the people havent been found the baby had been found this evening around 9 by a man, with a few scrapes and bruises by a rock. The rest of the story will come letter I suppose as they figure everything out.

But it got me thinking, would you escape if you couldnt escape with your baby.. or would you stay and wait until you could escape safely with your baby?
