My mom invited some distant relatives to come visit without asking me. She then realized she (and my dad) will be out of town for the weekend and has jury duty all week. So these sweet elderly people just drove 7 1/2 hours to visit and are expecting to spend the ENTIRE week with me. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to hostessing and I want to make sure everyone has a good time..so it’s really difficult for me to set boundaries. Luckily they aren’t staying in our home but when they arrived today I could tell they were surprised when I said “we’ve got stuff going on during the day but I’ll see you at dinner tomorrow!”

I am a FTM and 38 weeks pregnant today and all I want to do is enjoy my last few days alone..ALONE. Sorry for venting but what else can I do?
